During January 2018 we’re offering our two-bedroom family suite “l’Arro” for 150 per night for up to four people.  There is no breakfast included in this rate, but you’ll have plenty of space in our warm, comfortable suite and a tea tray with tea/coffee/hot chocolate making supplies, a bottle of water for each guest and some little treats.  The room is bookable via booking.com.  The photo above is taken from the suite which looks over the lavoir (old washing well seen here with the light on a winter morning) fed by the Arro river and beyond to the village rooftops.

L’Arro is the only room available at La Pommetier during January as during the quiet winter season we’re doing some work in the main house to keep it spic and span.  L’Arro is located across the top floor of our cottage with its own separate external entry and staircase so guests can come and enjoy the room without encountering our painting/cleaning/polishing spree in the main house.

There are restaurants in Arromanches open over winter (just an easy 5 minute walk away) and you may well have the beach to yourselves to enjoy long walks in the brisk air.  Plus, you’ll get great photos without random strangers appearing in the background!  While the museum in Arromanches is closed in January, many other D-Day sights remain open including the American Cemetery and Memorial at Omaha Beach and the Longues-sur-Mer gun battery just five kilometres away (with a great clifftop walk there from Arromanches if you’re keen).
