L’Arro looks over the courtyard, the lavoir fed by the Arro river, and to the village rooftops and treetops beyond. It has both a lovely large queen bedroom and another bedroom with twin single beds. Between the bedrooms is a separate bathroom.
Decorated in traditional French style with curtains in Pierre Frey Braquenie fabrics and walls lined in linen, the two bedrooms in L’Arro are perfect for friends and family wanting to stay together but not “too together”. Both bedrooms have multiple windows for plenty of light. The suite occupies the top floor of our cottage and offers a little bit more privacy with no shared walls and its own separate entrance via an external stone staircase.
In the larger bedroom there is a queen size bed (153 x 200 cm) with a soft wing-back bedhead (perfect for reading in bed) and comfortable pillow top mattress, warm and light duvet and pillows, and good quality soft Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a small armoire, bedside tables, a small antique commode (drawers) to store a few things, comfy sitting chairs and tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplies.
In the smaller bedroom there is two large single beds (90 x 200cm), bedside tables with reading lamps and a small ottoman for luggage and sitting. It’s cute and cosy and great for two children or one adult.
Both bedrooms are centrally heated and carpeted for trotting about bare-foot in summer and staying cosy in winter.
There is a sparkling white bathroom with marble floor tiles and stocked with fluffy towels, Durance ‘Mandarin and Ginger’ toiletries, hairdryer, and vanity mirror.
All our rooms are serviced daily with fresh towels provided. A bottle of Evian water is supplied complimentary for each guest each day.
Please note that our family suite is best suited to two adults travelling with two children. While the big bedroom really is big, the smaller bedroom really is smaller so it fits two children or one adult comfortably.
